From the port to the city
If berthed at Stazione Marittima, Piazza Municipio and Castel Nuovo are around 10–20 minutes on foot after leaving the terminal. Check your actual berth. Continue on foot or use the metro from Municipio for the historic centre. Pompeii requires a separate transfer to the archaeological park; it is not part of a short city walk.

One-day itinerary
Terminal → Castel Nuovo → Galleria Umberto I → Piazza del Plebiscito → Via Toledo → Gesù Nuovo → Santa Chiara → Spaccanapoli → San Gregorio Armeno → back to port. Around 6–7 km and 4–5 hours with a break, excluding lengthy museum visits. The waterfront can replace part of the route.
Other options
Pompeii is an alternative to a full Naples day. Check tickets, the correct entrance and current transport; allow roughly 6–7 hours terminal-to-terminal, including 2–3 hours in the park and a buffer. Do not combine Pompeii, Vesuvius and the whole city during this call.
Practical advice and return to the ship
Call: 24 April, 06:00–17:00. Early arrival does not mean museums are open. Aim to return to the terminal around 15:30 or earlier as required by MSC. Check advance reservations for Sansevero Chapel. For Pompeii check the official calendar and Saturday transport.
Times and distances are estimates. Before travelling check opening days, tickets and current transport using the official sources below. The 2027 port schedule is not a guaranteed local transport timetable. The ship determines the all-aboard deadline, which takes priority over this suggested plan.
